The First Earth Day was founded 43 years ago today on April 22, 1970 by Senator Gaylord Nelson. 20 years later in 1990 it went global and had over 200 million people participate in environmental activities in over 140 countries. Today it is expected to have over 1 billion people in over 190 countries participate in activities. This year’s theme is The Face of Climate Change. Help build the global mosaic by submitting a picture of you face with sign that says “The Face of Climate Change” to http://www.earthday.org/2013/.
